Circe was a minor goddess and a skilled sorceress in Greek mythology. She was the daughter of Helios, the god of the sun, and Perse, a nymph.

Circe lived on the island of Aeaea, where she spent her days practicing her magic and transforming anyone who dared to cross her path into an animal.

One of the most famous stories involving Circe is her encounter with the hero Odysseus. According to the story, after the Trojan War, Odysseus and his men set sail for home.
